Brewing Pittsburgh’s favorite coffee for over 30 years, Coffee Tree Roasters is built on quality, community, and a love for great coffee.

About Us

Enjoy a great cup of coffee in Pittsburgh, PA

The Coffee Tree Roasters first opened its doors in Squirrel Hill, Pennsylvania in 1993 as a simple coffee shop with a small batch in-store roaster.


Started by the father and son team fondly known as “The Bill’s,” The Coffee Tree Roasters paved the way for the coffee scene in Pittsburgh, and for all who followed in their footsteps.


Coffee Tree has grown to include five company owned retail locations throughout the Greater Pittsburgh Area; multiple Coffee Tree licensed stores; a thriving roastery and wholesale division located in West Mifflin; and a full service espresso equipment and repair company called Espresso Solutions.

Our Philosophy

The Coffee Tree family has two simple goals:

To serve the freshest and finest single farm-sourced coffees from around the world in a space where lifelong relationships are forged.  


To support our local communities through partnerships with schools, by providing learning labs for Business and Life Skills students focused on training for barista positions to running your own business.

What We Are known For

Iron Star Roasting

We sell wholesale beans, cafe products and gourmet foods, as well as coffee making equipment to other coffee companies and cafes. Iron Star Roasting also offers consulting services for people looking to start their own shop or to license a Coffee Tree Roasters location.

Espresso Solutions

Espresso Solutions provides expert repair, maintenance, and installation for coffee, espresso, and refrigeration equipment. From emergency fixes to routine servicing, our skilled team is available  to keep your business brewing without interruption.

Cafe & Restaurant

At our Café & Restaurant, we serve freshly roasted coffee alongside a menu of sandwiches, salads, baked goods, and desserts all made to pair perfectly with your favorite brew. A cozy, welcoming space to sip, savor, and stay awhile.
